Being a Medical Secretary sounds easy, but still considers plenty of college classes and preparation.

While still in high school, it is a great idea to take a computer skills class. Secretaries are known for sitting behind a desk all day. Especially now adays, with all of our technology. You also need to be a friendly & more important, a patient person. Along with just signing someone in, you must deal with the billing, appointment schedules, and things that might not always be easy.

The average medical secretary goes through 2 years of college courses in a community college or a university, which ever they prefer. Not all colleges have offer this specific course.
